    How to Change Oil on Ford Expedition

    Need Materials:

    • Jack
    • Engine oil
    • Drain pan
    • 15 millimeter socket

    Get Started:

    1. Park your Ford Expedition on a leveled ground and leave the engine to cool down.
    2. If you are unable to get underneath the vehicle, use a jack to elevate it and place it on jack stands.
    3. Locate the drain bolt and remove it. it is located in the front end in the middle underneath the vehicle.
    4. Place your drain pan to collect the old oil.
    5. Inspect the old oil for any sludge or metal shavings.
    6. After there is no more oil draining, reinstall the drain bolt and torque it.
    7. Open the hood and locate the oil cap.
    8. Remove it and add the recommended amount of engine oil.
    9. Close the cap and leave the vehicle to rest for 15 minutes.
    10. Measure the level of the engine oil with the dipstick.
